About the Ride Info Box

Der Flitzer was a carnival style roller coaster in Alpine Village. It opened at that location in 1976. According to the Roller Coaster Database, it was replaced by the Giant Sky Wheel in 1990.

Apparently, it was the same ride as Rallye Racers which means it really opened in 1974 near where Splash Over sits today. Two seasons later, it was moved to the new Alpine Village area. Check the Racers page for more details.

This makes it one of several rides that has existed in multiple location in the park, and one of a few that have been given different names.
