Press Release

New Arrivals For 2006! Two NEW Rides for 2006!

Officials at Adventureland Park today announced that two new rides are being built for the 2006 park season. The rides, named “The Splash Over” and “The Frog Hopper”, will both be completed and ready for operation by opening day.

splashover.jpg “The Splash Over” is a new dimension in rides from Italy combining the high flying thrills of a spectacular park ride with the fun and excitement of a water ride. Riders will be propelled head over heels through a sky-high curtain of water that randomly provides everything from a light mist to a good old-fashioned soaking. Adventureland CEO Jan Krantz said, “combining a thrill ride with water features is the most fun you can have all in one ride”.

“The Frog Hopper” which is also new this season at Adventureland, will quickly hop young riders up 20 feet in the air, and then bounce them down gently to the starting position. “Adults can ride along next to children on the Frog Hopper, and that will make it a great family ride”, Krantz commented.

Adventureland Park, Inn, and Campground are located off I-80, just east of Des Moines, Iowa. The Inn and Campground are open year round. Adventureland Park opens weekends beginning April 29th and will open for daily operation starting May 19th.
