Adventureland Park is divided up in to several areas. Some of them have a distinct theme and are clearly defined. For the rest, we are just estimating where we think they are and what they contain based on internet research and discussion.
Currently, the only clearly marked areas are Dragon Island and Outlaw Gulch. Both of these have archway signs leading to them.
Until 1998 there was second Dragon Island archway at the bridge. Until 2015 (?), there was a double-sided archway between County Fair and Iowa Farm that marked those areas. Old park maps from the 1970s used to label most of these sections, but the modern maps do not. In some cases, we are using names from old maps that may or may not be the current official names of the sections.
Areas
- Bavaria - the German-themed area that includes the Rathskeller, Bier Garten and Alpine games area.
- Boulevard - from the Giant Skywheel to River City.
- County Fair - the carnival games area and The Tornado.
- Dragon Island - the area across the bridge that contains games and The Dragon.
- Iowa Farm - Petunia Pig and surrounding barn area.
- Last Frontier - per old park maps, from Icee Mix It Up around Sheriff Sam's to Cookies & Cream.
- Main Street - entrance area.
- Outlaw Gulch - beyond Dragon Island where The Outlaw is.
- River City - waterfront area of food shops and seating areas.
