The Sidewinder is a spinning, rocking ride in [[Outlaw Gulch]]. It opened in 2004.

The ride uses shoulder harnesses that lower down to keep the riders in their seats. Today, there is an extra belt clip that ensures the harness stays lowered, but this was added sometime after the ride was opened. The 2004 seats clearly did not have it. (Noticed by Jonathan C.) He says a 2007 YouTube video shows the belts were installed by then.

The new ride is named the "Sidewinder", and is among the first of its kind in the United States. The "Sidewinder" is a giant pendulum ride that pivots back and forth 240 degrees, swinging riders over 6 stories into the sky on a rotating platform. An endless combination of twists and turns occurs for the full duration of the ride. The "Sidewinder" is the newest feature in the Outlaw Gulch area of the park.
