The Monster opened in the Iowa Farm on June 4, 2016. It is currently the fourth roller coaster operating at the park (counting The Underground, which is technically a roller coaster). It became the park's second steel and looping roller coaster after the Dragon.
It contains an elaborate nightime lighting system designed by KCL Engineering of Des Moines.
