River City represents Missippi River communities of the past. It has a distinct New Orleans feel to the area, with themed music and architecture.

Boat Dock
The River City Smoke Shack has a distinct dock look to it, including posts with a nautical rope fence around the water edge. This is because the location used to be a functional dock for a riverboat that sailed around the water.
Smokeshack Smoke
Next to the River City Smokeshack is a fenced off barbecue pit. They do not cook on it, but they will burn wood in it to give the area a distinct smell of a barbecue. (Disney parks do a similar trick with scents, though they use chemical smells.)
