Home / Miscellaneous - Riverview Park
Riverview Park was a Des Moines amusement park that operated from 1915 to 1978. Apparently, the announcement of Adventureland caused Riverview to invest in some expensive new rides to try to compete. In 1979, Adventureland purchased Riverview with the intention of keeping it open as a smaller park and using it for corporate events.
This didn't work out, and instead Riverview Park was closed and some elements were relocated to Adventureland as part of a new Riverview section of the park.
