About the Area Info Box

In 1979, Adventureland purchased the classic Riverview Park and moved some attractions to this new area. At the time, it was an actual island that the Queen Riverboat circles. They had to build a bridge to the island, which prevented the Queen from circling.

The Island was renamed in 1990 and became Dragon Island.

Trivia

Riverview Remnants

A few items from acquired from Riverpark Park still remain: the light posts on Dragon Island and the funhouse mirror at the exit of The Dragon. Inside the queue for The Dragon you can still see where the Haunted House tracks used to run, including marks from the ride vehicle tires. (Update: The Convoy was located there between the time of the Haunted House and Dragon, so these marks may be from the Convoy instead.)
